Inspired by the Los Angeles underground music scene brought forth ideas in Amberlie Bankoff to capture the underbelly of the city. Always surrounded by eccentric personalities and captivating fashion seekers, she documents a unique world most will never see. Bankoff merges stylized fashion with a certain grittiness that preserves femininity of the women she photographs.

 

Bankoff graduated from the Academy of Art University of San Francisco with a BFA in photography. She has shown work in both San Francisco and Los Angeles.

 

Currently she is the cinematographer for writer/director Mike Cuenca’s ‘Time and Memory Trilogy’. She lives in Los Angeles.
